Hello to all my friends and fans!
Just a few things you should keep an eye out for in October.
I'm doing a few hashtag challenges in October! One is Drachtober, another is WIPJoy, and I may be adding a few more on as well!
52 Stories in 52 Weeks
I am looking for beta readers for the 52 Stories in 52 Weeks stories! If you are interested in being a beta reader, simply click on this link, and fill out an application.
As much as I have loved doing 52 Stories in 52 Weeks this year...I don't think I will be doing it again. I enjoyed it, because it challenged me to write outside of my comfort zone. Sometimes I was so far outside of my comfort zone that I didn't know what to write.
I started 52 Stories in 52 Weeks, because I wanted to have something to share with my friends and fans. It isn't fair to you, for me to expect you to buy my full length books, yet not let you read any of my work.
However, I don't want to do it again, because it took up an awful lot of time and energy. It became another stressor. At one point, I was working full-time, a part-time student, and trying to make The Division publication ready. I fell behind. And I felt like I let you guys down. Now, I never had anyone harassing me, but in my own eyes, I had let you down by not keeping to the promise of a new story every week.
Another reason is because in the summer, my life gets extremely busy. I don't have time to write, no matter how badly I want to. Not even for 52 Stories in 52 Weeks.
I will be writing short stories and sharing them, but they won't be specifically for 52 Stories in 52 Weeks. I plan to publish all of my short stories in their rough drafts on my website, then publish them by year in an anthology. So...similar to 52 Stories, but not as much pressure.
If you didn't remember, I am planning an artist promotion for the month of October! For more information you can read this blog post, and/or check out this form. I've had several people sign up already, but there's still room for more, and you don't have long!
I'm not completely moved in, but am still working toward it! Things are all falling nicely into place, and I'm eager to finally be in my own place.
Thank you all for your love and support. I couldn't continue doing what I do without you.
